Sometimes it’s necessary to close our pool for programming due to chemical imbalance, vomit or fecal contamination, or mechanical issues. Chemical imbalance and mechanical issues are rare and closure depends on what the issue is- we will reopen as soon as the pool is balanced and working properly. In the event of vomit in the pool, we typically close for approximately 30 minutes once we have the contamination cleaned up. This gives us time to sanitize the pool equipment and remove particles from the water. Fecal contamination can close our pool for up to 36 hours depending on the type of contamination. We follow Wake County In any event- we communicate closures via signage, email and social media outlets as well as our Oak City Swim School app.
